It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kyong Kacsmar of Minot, North Dakota, who passed away on August 5, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Kyong leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Kyong may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Chong Chol and Yon Ae Kim; and her son Leonard Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Leonard; her daughters, Karen Kacsmar and Theresa Buynak (Nathaniel); and her grandchildren, Declan and Quinlan Buynak. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
