Kyong Kacsmar Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kyong Kacsmar of Minot, North Dakota, who passed away on August 5, 2025, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Kyong leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Kyong may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Chong Chol and Yon Ae Kim; and her son Leonard Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Leonard; her daughters, Karen Kacsmar and Theresa Buynak (Nathaniel); and her grandchildren, Declan and Quinlan Buynak. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thompson - Larson Funeral Home (21 3rd Ave SW, Minot, ND 58701). A burial will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Rosehill Memorial Park (700 11th Ave SE, Minot, ND 58701).
