He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl J. Wilz and Lillian F. Wilz (Koenig); his brother Terry; and his brother-in-law Dennis "Denny" Bell. He is survived by: his wife Dorthy L. Klug; his children, Steph Wilz (Dan Springer) and David Wilz (Shannon); his stepgrandchildren, Cheyenne and Brooklyn; and his siblings, Steve Wilz (Marie) and Mary Bell. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home Chapel (21 3rd Ave SW, Minot, ND 58701). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
