It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rick Laqua of Minot, North Dakota, born in Saint Paul, Minnesota, who passed away on April 19, 2025, at the age of 62, leaving to mourn family and friends. Though Rick may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Rick touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his sister Denise Tonner of Vero Beach, FL; his sibling's children, Libby Tonner of St. Charles, IL and Jack Tonner of Charlotte, NC; his aunts and uncles, Barbara Olson, Bev, Gene Gunderson, Laurence and Vi Muller; his cousin Julie Slater; and also Brittney Eckart.
Memorials are preferred to Souris Valley Animal Shelter.
