She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Ernest Hoelscher of Foxholm, ND and Shirley Hoelscher (Wherley); her former husband Frank Joseph Bauer; her children, Ernest Bauer (Kathy), Darrell Bauer and Jodi Walker (James); her stepchildren, Shelly McDonald and Travis Mertz of Omaha, Neb; her brothers, Wayne Hoelscher (Candis), Kenny Hoelscher (Carla) of Oakes, ND and Bruce Hoelscher of Foxholm, ND; her husband Ray Mertz; and her stepson Wesley.
