It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Hintz of Minot, North Dakota, who passed away on April 23, 2025, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ward Dobson and Clara Dobson (McGowen); her husband Allen "Al" Hintz; her stepsons, Michael Hintz and Jim Thompson (Barb); and her stepson-in-law Donald Gerke.
She is survived by: her stepchildren, Mary Hintz Maner (Vern), Cynthia Hintz Gerke, Dayle Thompson (Dutch Von Ehrenfried), Steven Thompson (Nancy) and Sandra Thompson Farrow. She is also survived by several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, as well as step nieces and step nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Thomas Family Funeral Home (304 Main St S, Minot, ND 58701). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Faith United Methodist Church (5900 US-83, Minot, ND 58703).
