He was predeceased by: his parents, Gertrude "Susie" Kersten (Lokken) and Carl Kersten; his brother Clyde; his sisters-in-law, Robyn Kersten and Sandra Moen; and his nephew Tyler Moen.
He is survived by: his wife Pam of Minot; his daughters, Brooke Kersten of Atlanta, Cassidy Hjelmstad (Travis) of Minot and Ryan Kersten (Mimi) of Minot; his grandchildren, TJ, Thomas, Claire Hjelmstad, Owen and Carter Kersten; and his brothers, Gene Kersten (Linda) of Newburg and Jay Kersten (Diane) of Minot.
Unfortunately, Alzheimer's forced him to quit early.
