With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joanne P. Babinski of Minto, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 21, 2025 at the age of 85. She was predeceased by: her parents, Bruno Osowski and Stella Osowski (Ebertowski); her husband Allan; her grandson Brady Gilleshammer; and her sisters, Sarah Nice, Esther Narloch, Beatrice Houdek and Louise Sevigny.
She is survived by: her children, James Shambaugh (Robin) of Minto, ND, Chris Shambaugh of Minto, ND, Joy Orvedal (Jeff) of Churchs Ferry, ND, Diane Gilleshammer (Mark) of Grafton, ND and Mark Shambaugh (Liz) of Isanti, MN; her grandchildren, Tyler, Dustin, Megan, Cameron, Taron, Dakota, Anthony, Brian, Trisha, Lindsay, Cody, Zach, Morgan, Madelynn, Ellie and Amanda; her stepdaughter April Smested (Aaron); and her siblings, Maxine Wilkes of Grand Forks, ND and Ernest Osowski (Karen) of Grand Forks, ND. She is also survived by 23 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
