With heavy hearts, we announce the death of LeRoy Maki of New Salem, North Dakota, who passed away on April 13, 2026 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to LeRoy's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in his wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration LeRoy has bequeathed us. For though he may have departed from our sight, his spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Hilja Lydia Gronlund and Eino John Maki; and his siblings, Rodney Maki and Ronny Maki. He is survived by: his children, Erik Maki of Superior, WI, Nessa Maki of Superior, WI, Katie Bentz (Brandon) of New Salem, ND, Ashley Brookhouser (Michael) of New Salem, ND, LeRoy Maki (Rustie) of Fergus Falls, MN, John Maki of Punta Gorda, FL and Tabatha Maki of Arcadia, FL; and his nieces and nephews, Chris and Renee Maki. He is also survived by his 21 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren.
