He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Houser and Mabel Houser (Brehm); his wife Bernice Houser; his siblings, Doris (Ed Jurek), Vernon Houser, Velma (Dean Grendahl), Corinne (Don Johnson), Ron Houser, Jim Houser, Kay Browder and Connie (Ancel Young); and his daughter-in-law Carol Houser.
He is survived by: his children, Angela Makedonski (Ken), Nancy Burritt (Dave) of Broomfield, CO and Scott Houser; his grandchildren, Brett Makedonski (Christina Farno), Lisa Weisz (Justin), Jeremy Houser (Samantha) and Kyle Houser (Jenae Wieser); his great grandchildren, Wesley and Huxley Weisz; and his sister-in-law Beverly Houser of Rapid City, SD. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and in-laws.
Visitation was held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 9:30 AM. A prayer was held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 2:30 PM at the Edgewood Village Assisted Living Chapel (3124 Colorado Ln, Bismarck, ND 58501). A funeral service was held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Bethel Lutheran Church (224 2nd St North, New Town, ND).
