He was predeceased by : his parents, Orphie Halverson and Iva Belle Halverson (Ruland); his stepfather Ray Keller; his grandson Aiden Vanderhoef; his siblings, Roger Halverson (Gail), Gary Halverson and Mable Lou Anno (Ted); his niece Heather Halverson; and his siblings-in-law, Cliff Mehl, Kenneth Olson and Lucinda Biladeau (Jim).

He is survived by : his wife Kristy Halverson of New Town; his children, Eric Halverson (Terry) of Dickinson, Toni Zinke (Mike) of Bismarck and Lindsay Roggenbuck (Brian) of New Town; his grandchildren, Keegan Vanderhoef, Ryan Zinke, Ethan, Evy Halverson, Braylen and Sawyer Roggenbuck; and his sisters-in-law, Caroline Mehl of California and Joan Decker of Washington. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
