He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Strand and Olga Strand (Dahl); his son Brent Strand; his sister Jan Sarbaum; and his siblings-in-law, Phyllis Thompson and Brian Anderson.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Anderson; his daughter Arlette Stevens (John); his grandchildren, Dylan Stevens (Connie), Jordan Schwab (Joe), Amanda Pfaffe (Sam), Jasmine Stevens, Nick Stevens (Tayler) and Lorenzo Strand (Samantha); his great grandchildren, Natalie, Dahlia, Wilder and Bridger; and his siblings-in-law, Donna Armbrust (Al), Rod Sarbaum, Leonard Thompson, Larry Anderson (Pam) and Randy Anderson (Patty). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (326 Bluff St, Enderlin, ND 58027). A prayer will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 23rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Farm Rescue, his American Legion post, Fillmore Cemetery, or a local organization of your choice.
