With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Betty Beck of Northwood, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 20, 2025 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her parents, Olaf Halstensgaard and Bergine Halstensgaard (Gjernes Rome); her husband Gilman H. Beck of Portland, ND; her son Terry; her granddaughter Lindsey Blatchford; and her brothers, Orville and Harvey.
She is survived by: her daughters, Julie Schneibel (Darius) of Fargo, ND and Wendy Wolfe of Moorhead, MN; her grandchildren, Danielle Roller (Matt), Dexter Schneibel (Sabrina), Jenna Longlet (Jacob), Jill Coble (David), Kyle Aune, Alyssa Aune (Dikwan McKenzie), Katelynn Blatchford and Allison Blatchford; her siblings, Thelma Eide of Mayville, ND and Gaylen Halstensgaard (Noreen) of York, ND; and her sister-in-law Shirley Beck of Portland, ND. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Bilden Askew Funeral Home (219 2nd Ave, Northwood, ND 58267). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
