He was predeceased by: his parents, Vern Courtney and Anna Mae Courtney; his brother Kurt Courtney; and his in-laws, Wanda and Hank Gebhardt.
He is survived by: his nephew Kyle; his siblings, Patty LaRocque (Chick), Bob Courtney (Brenda) and Pam Dockter (Perry); and his sisters-in-law, Geri Courtney and Bonnie Lloyd (Mike). He is also survived by nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
The family asks that memorials be directed to the Guelph Community Center, in honor of Doug's strong connection to the Guelph community and the Guelph Turkey BBQ.
