Irene Meyer Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Irene Meyer of Oakes, North Dakota, who passed away on October 14, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ole Arthur and Leona Lydia Nelson (Buetow); her husband Leonard; and her siblings, Albin, William "Bill", Marvin and Loretta.
She is survived by: her children, Scott Meyer (Teresa) of Lidgerwood, ND, David Meyer (Linda) of West Fargo, ND, Cindy Hyatt of Oakes, ND, Tim Meyer (Elise) of Lisbon, ND, Diane Ortmeier (Jack) of Mitchell, SD and Bradley Meyer (Jodi) of Johnston, IA; and her sister Inez Olson. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and at 2:00 PM at the St. John's Lutheran Church (120 9th St S, Oakes, ND 58474).
