With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Larry Bixby of Oakes, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 20, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid Larry farewell, let us not mourn the absence of his physical form, but rather celebrate the essence of his spirit that lingers in the spaces between moments. For Larry is not truly gone, but merely transformed, his energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
He is survived by: his children, Chad Bixby (Laura) of Lee's Summit, MO and Heidi Hegle of Lisbon, ND; his stepchildren, Reva Bohnenkamp (Chad) of Oakes, ND, Angie Bollinger (Tim) of Monango, ND, Monica Hansen of Elm Lake, SD and Wesley Maley (Zasha Johnson) of Oakes, ND; and his siblings, Jack Brown of Gwinner, ND and Shirley Johnson (Kenny) of Milnor, ND. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
