He is survived by: his wife Cora Whitfield; his children, Ryan Heier, Randy Heier (Tiffany), Robert Heier (Roxanne), Russell Heier (Rayli), Richard Heier and Renita Westerhausen (Derek); and his siblings, Albert Heier, Eugene Heier (Betty) and Regina Reis (Carrol). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren.
