It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Arlys J. Nielsen of Park River, North Dakota, born in Maddock, North Dakota, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Carl Goranson and Ruth Goranson (Egge); her son Kris Eliot; her sister Dianne; her siblings-in-law, Barb, Mark and Wayne; and her nephew Cody.

She is survived by : her husband Ken of Park River, ND; her son Kelly Nielsen (Sherri) of Fargo, ND; her grandchildren, Abby and Tyler; her sister Yvonne Ulland of Mayville, ND; and her sister-in-law Kathy Knatterud of Maddock, ND. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Tollefson Funeral Home - Park River (103 Summit Ave S, Park River, ND 58270). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
