With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Iva D. Johnson of Park River, North Dakota, born in Hoople, North Dakota, who passed away on January 17, 2024 at the age of 99. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Gunderson and Elvina Gunderson (Johnson); her husband Clifford Johnson; her sisters, Mavis Gibson (Marshall), Venise Hanson (Harvey), Phyllis Payton (Chuck) and Elaine Morey (Bill); and her son-in-law Gerald Nelson.

She is survived by: her children, Sharon Nelson of Warren, MN, Roger Johnson (Vicki Jo) of Goodyear, AZ, LaDonna Johnson of Vancouver, WA and Lynette Northagen (John) of Grand Forks, ND; and her sister Ruth Veum (Allen) of Maple Grove, MN.. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Park River Bible Camp, Red River Valley Hospice or Edgewood Senior Living in Grand Forks.
