She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Kalgard and Signe Modin Kalgard; her husband Harold Flaten; her children, Stephen Flaten and Janelle Bordon; and her granddaughter Elisabeth Flaten.
She is survived by: her former husband Duane Tollefson; her children, Rev. Mark Flaten (Carol) of Finley, ND, Robert Flaten (Sandy) of Park River, ND and Deborah Manni (Ross) of Star Prairie, WI; her son-in-law Brian Bordon; and her grandchildren, Joy Solano, Anna Lassonde, Sarah McKay, Rachel Trottier, Stephanie Hawkins, Sean Misner, Britta and Jaxon Manni. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
