He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter J. Sand and Olive Sand (Foss); his siblings, Marvin Sand, Delno Sand, Leon Sand, Patricia Grandalen and Joanne Olstad (Ordell); his niece Amy Benoit; and his nephew Paul Tandberg.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Sand (Tandberg) of McVille, ND; his children, Merle Sand (Dore) of Scottsdale, AZ, Mark Sand (Jody) of Steele, ND and Scott Sand (Traci) of Pekin, ND; his grandchildren, Justin Sand, Tyler Sand (Brittany), Michael Sand (Julianna), Mallory Brown (Craig), Lindsey Johnson (Michael), Ryan Sand (Rebecca), Bradyn Sand (Taylor) and Hunter Sand; his great grandchildren, Peter, Riley and Amy Sand; his grandchildren, Boden, Ava Brown, Elle, Roonie Johnson, Logan, Brailee, Bauer Sand, Cameron and Tate Sand; his brother Ervin Sand (Bertha); and his siblings-in-law, Bennie Grandalen, Darlene Sand and Shirley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Per Jerry's wishes, memorials may be sent to Sheyenne Cemetery, Nelson County Health System Foundation, and HIA Hospice.
