With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen L. Kern of Pembina, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 23, 2026 at the age of 61. She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward "Cope" Kern and Mary Kern (Smith); her brother Dennis; her grandparents, Walter, Mary Kern, Earl and Elise Smith; and her cousin LuAnna Kern.
She is survived by: her brother Kevin "Cope" Kern; her nibling Becca; and her pet Walter.
