She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Appeman and Dee Appeman (Balsley); her husband Don; her son Terry (Donna); her son-in-law Gary Pladson; and her grandson Jeffry.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Pladson, Steve (Jan), Kent (Mary) of Dahlen, ND and Lisa McCarty (Dan) of Huron, SD; her grandchildren, Jeannie Schar (Tracy), Scott (Kathryn), Josh, Tressta Kunkel (Taylor), Katie Berry (Mickey), Eric, Kyle, Kody, Pat McCarty (Dana) and Kelly McCarty (Nate Schenkel); and her sister Janice Hess (Jerry) of Duluth, MN. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Petersburg Lutheran Church (310 5th St, Petersburg, ND 58272). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
