It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eric Gilman Strand (Portland, North Dakota), who passed away on March 23, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Gilman A. Strand and Pauline Strand (Thorwaldson); his former wife Phyllis Strand; his son Randy Strand (Phyllis); and his sister Vicki Fugleberg (Strand).

He is survived by: his wife Alice Strand; his daughters, Stephanie Ortiz (Mark) and Laura Albachten (John); his stepchildren, Lisa Berry (Bernie), Kari Cloud and Douglas Cloud; his grandchildren, David Ortiz (Sarah-Ashley), Elizabeth Ortiz, Matthew Ortiz, Erica Burckhard (Evan), Sarah Albachten, Justin Albachten, Branden Albachten, Philip Ortiz and Makayla Albachten; his stepgrandchildren, Ashley Cloud, Chase Cloud and Jordan Berry; his great grandchildren, David Ortiz, Aniline Ortiz, Stephanie Ortiz and Makenzie Ortiz; his sisters, Andrea Rud (Jim), Kris Holm and Margaret Dahl (Ken); and also Richard Fugleberg. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
