With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janelle A Gourneau (Rolla, North Dakota), born in Belcourt, North Dakota, who passed away on September 14, 2025 at the age of 56. She was predeceased by: her father Stanley Gourneau; her brother Kevin Gourneau; and her grandson Wayne Belgarde. She is survived by: her mother Maxine Gourneau (Delonais) of Belcourt; her children, Clifford Belgarde Jr. of Belcourt, Donovan Belgarde of Belcourt and Shiree Belgarde of Belcourt; her grandchildren, Amia Belgarde, Donovan Belgarde Jr. and Ayanna Belgarde; and her siblings, Arla Gourneau of Belcourt, Alex Gourneau of Alexandria, MN, Margie Gourneau of Belcourt, Grace Bogardus of Belcourt, Sandy Azure (Robert) of St. John and Keith Gourneau of Belcourt. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 8:00 AM at the St. Ann's Catholic Church (1115 Louis Riel Dr, Belcourt, ND 58316). A rosary was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, September 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
