It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Fretheim of Ross, North Dakota, who passed away on May 2, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Fretheim and Louisa Fretheim; his siblings, Virgil, Allen, Duane, Louise, Lois and Marlys; his wife Linda; and his grandchildren, Olivia Fretheim and Clay Kyllonen.
He is survived by: his significant other Verna Marmon; his children, Pam (Mike) of Williston, ND, Brian (Sondra) of Williston, ND, Brandon (Heather) of Stanley, ND and Byron of Williston, ND; his stepson James Garcia of Vernal; his brother Curt (Daphne) of Vernal, UT; and his sister-in-law Bev of Ross, ND. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren and 1 on the way; 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Springan Stevenson Funeral Home (120 12th Ave SE, Stanley, ND 58784). A funeral service was held on Monday, May 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
