She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Kuntz and Magdalena Kuntz (Bischoff); her husband Augustin Schmaltz of Anselm's Catholic Church; her sisters, Marie Hager (Donald) and Lorraine Mundahl (Darold); her siblings-in-law, Leo Schmaltz (Yvonne), Rosemary Jundt and Alberta Pankow; her sons-in-law, Ted Laugeness, Richard Schaan, Jerie Strietzel and Marvin; her stepgranddaughter Jennifer Ebach; Nicholas and Eva Schmaltz (Mitzel).
She is survived by: her children, Kenneth (Linda) of Rugby, Shirley Laugeness of Dilworth, MN, Marvin Schmaltz of Rugby, Cynthia Schaan of Rugby, Lori Schneider (Steve) of Rugby, Duane Schmaltz of Devils Lake, Karla Larson (Rick) of Rugby and Darlene Kleinknecht (Chad) of Jamestown; her brothers-in-law, Craig Pankow and Victor Schmaltz (Diane); and her grandchildren, Wendal Ebach, Steven Purington, Wyatt Schmaltz, Levi Schaan, Kaelin Schneider, Tate Schmaltz, Keaton Larson, Paxton Kleinknecht, Reece Kleinknecht, Michael Purington, Sara Kukowski, Melissa Purington, Sherry Miller, Lacey Strietzel, Meranda Schmaltz, Crystal Grove, Skylar Schneider, Jaden Schneider, Chris Benson, Sierrah Schmaltz, Leighton Larson, Kiara Larson and McKade Kleinknecht. She is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 5 step-grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren.
