He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Holen and Pearl Holen (Hegdahl); and his siblings, Mavis Sivertson (Lyle), Ardis Hulse (Samuel) and Curt Holen.
He is survived by: his wife Ardis Holen; his children, Michael Holen (Londa), Lisa Olson (Paul) and Steve Holen (Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Austin Olson, Shaylah Anderson (Jace), Ben Holen (Jessie), Andrew Holen (Emily), Ashley, Derek, Alyssa and Avery Holen; his brother Dave Holen (Patty); and his sister-in-law Elaine Holen. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Bethany Lutheran Church (215 3rd Ave SE Ste 4, Minot, ND 58701). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 6:30 PM and on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
