He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Johnson and Agnes Johnson (Lawler) of Rock Lake, ND.; his wife Martha Johnson; his sister Aoulene Hauschulz; and his grandchildren, Ben, Julia and Luke Schuster.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Rebecca Weninger Schuster and Charlena Weninger Vinglass; his grandchildren, Ava Schuster and Christian Schuster; his brother Dan Johnson (Diane); his nephew Eric Johnson (Kristi); and his nieces, Kris Jackson (Tony), Robin Eastman (Bob), Michele McCormick (Kevin), Cindy Johnson and Cassie Murphy (Jason).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Springan Stevenson Funeral Home (120 12th Ave SE, Stanley, ND 58784). A family service will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 at 6:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Bethel Lutheran Church (228 Eagle Dr, New Town, ND 58763).
