He was predeceased by : his parents, Estella Navratil (Begordis) and Rudolph Navratil; his former life partner Helen Knutson; his stepchildren, Kenny Knutson, Wilbert Knutson, Leola Hystad and Darlene Westereng; his brothers, Muryl (Shirley) and Lloyd (Margaret Jo); his niece Dianne; his grandchildren, Brenda Blair and Wayne Lynn Knutson; and also, Craig Hystad, Cody Krebsbach and Lloyd Bergstad.

He is survived by : his stepdaughter Trudy of Stanton. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Stanton or the Shriner's Children's Hospital, 215 Radio Drive Suite 100, Woodbury, MN 55125.
