He is survived by: his former wife Karen Zabolotny; his son Michael Barnes (Zuzana); his grandchild Kitt; his great grandchildren, Keegan, Skyler and Brooke; his daughter-in-law Terri Lillemon (Nathan); his sibling Glen Barnes (Ellen); his nieces, Hope Sabbagha (Elias) and Beth Nystrom (Eric); and his former wife Karen Barnes.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Thompson-Larson Funeral Home (21 3rd Ave SW, Minot, ND 58701). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Lutheran Church (120 5th Ave NW, Minot, ND 58703).
