Richard Parrish Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard Parrish of Surrey, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 25, 2026 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Parrish and Virginia Parrish (Salisbury); his friend John Curtis; and his wife Maureen Matthews. He is survived by: his children, Mahli Apland (John) of Minot and Mark Parrish (Jodie) of Sioux Falls, SD; his close friend Emmeline Curtis of Minot; his grandchildren, Hannah Vadell (Antonio), Kennedy Parrish, Dodge Arne, Keaton Parrish and Aaron Blowers; his great grandchildren, Layah Arne, Bentley Arne and Kaylynn Melgaard; his siblings, Carol Sweeney (Jim) and Thomas Parrish; and his sister-in-law Nancy Matthews.
Throughout his life, Richard was a member of the Congregational United Church of Christ, Fort McKeen Old Scouts Society, ND Muzzle Loaders, Fort Stevenson Foundation & Lewis & Clark/Fort Mandan Foundation.
