He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Lukenbach and Mabel Lukenbach (Thorne); his son Kim; his daughter-in-law Jeanne Lukenbach (Louis Klocke); and his siblings, Horace, Wayne, Billy, Alta Brakel, Margie Hafner, Mary Jane Hafner, Helen Francis, Harriet Brandt and Ruby Lukenbach.
He is survived by: his wife Pearl Muscha; his children, Kathy Klocke of Fessenden, ND, Joan Larson (Loren) of Fargo, ND and Dean Lukenbach of Sedgwick, KS; and his sister Nellie Whipple of Malone, WA. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
