He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Emil Bauer and Edna Ella Bauer (Kirchmeier); his siblings, Nadine Remmick, Junis Arsenault and Duane Bauer; and his sister-in-law Delila Bauer.
He is survived by: his wife Fern Bauer; his children, Lesley Rebel of Tappen, Shad Bauer (Christie) of Abercrombie and Jeremy Bauer (Lisa) of Mayville; his brother-in-law Marvin Remmick of Robinson; his grandchildren, Tiffany Bodvig (Korey), Dustin Bauer (Sheldon), Austin Engdahl, Derek Engdahl, Toshia Cadena (Aly), Michael Nienow, Coy Wentz-Bovee, Alex Matos (Kaytlyn), Manny Matos (Tylar), Thomas Bauer (Adrianna), Kader Bauer, Bradyon Bauer, Peyton Bauer and Macy Bauer; his great grandchildren, Keylee, Keagan, Kenna and Kensley Bodvig; and his grandchildren, Leo, Sky Cadena, Lilo, Liam, LaKayla and Lyliah Bauer. He is also survived by children's and grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 7th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church (255 Columbia Ave, Tappen, ND 58487).
