We are sad to announce that, on January 9, 2026, at the age of 100, Ara Iola Hartsoch of Tioga, North Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lloyd Hartsoch and Olga Hartsoch (Strand); her husband Earl Lincoln Hartsoch; her son Arley; her siblings, Arvey (Iona Hartsoch) and Marie (Wayne Vance); her in-laws, Alice and Herman Hartsoch; her brother-in-law Derald Hartoch; her nephew Craig Hartsoch; her niece Arlene Kingstad; and her great-niece Laurie Hartsoch.
She is survived by: her daughters, Maureen Severson (Larry) of Roseau, MN and Debbie Jacob (Jim) of Burns, WY; her daughter-in-law Cheryl Hartsoch of Ray, ND; her foster son Dennis Marmon (Patsy) of Williston, ND; her grandchildren, Laureen Byron (Steve), Royce Severson, Kent Severson (Alicia), Heidi Hernandez (Dan), Brent Hartsoch, Sara Peterson (Jason), Daniel Hartsoch (Amanda), Erik Hartsoch (Amy), James Jacob (Veronica), Paul Jacob (Megan), Michael Jacob (Bonnie) and Kevin Jacob (Colleen); her brother-in-law Jack Hartsoch (Doris); and her friend Maureen. She is also survived by twenty three great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
