Gary Kopp Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Kopp of Turtle Lake, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 23, 2026 at the age of 83. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gary Kopp to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Kopp and Mildred Kopp (Kulsrud); his granddaughter Allie Johnson; his son-in-law Steve Johnson; his great grandchild Walker Messner; and his siblings, Mazie Kopp, Ferrel Kopp, Darlene, Gerald Kopp, Geraldine Martin (Don), June Myhre and Larry Kopp.
He is survived by: his wife Maureen Kopp (Schindele); his daughters, Karla Messner (Gregory) and Abby Johnson; his grandsons, Brock Messner, Brent Messner (Jenni), Bryce Messner (Taylor) and Cody Johnson (Brittany); his great grandchildren, Vivian, Adalai, Norah, Macklan, Noah Messner and Bronson Johnson; and his sisters-in-law, Alma Kopp and Delores Kopp. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Gary established a Rural Health Clinic designation (McVille) and the CHINC Foundation.
