She was predeceased by: her parents, Jacob Smedshammer and Clara Smedshammer (Rockswold); her husband Clinton Peterson; her father-in-law Ole Peterson; her siblings, Myron, Ethelyn (Conrad Paulson) and Arlys (Ken Bates); her in-laws, Reynold Peterson (Irma), LeRoy Peterson (Ida), Evelyn Neumann (Alvin), Harvey Peterson (Blanche) and Morris Peterson (Ruthie); and her nieces and nephews, Bradley Paulson, Bradley Peterson, Barry Peterson, Jennifer Bates and Paulette Andrud.
She is survived by: her sons, Greg (Genevieve), Jerel and Tom (Susan); her granddaughter Kendra Peterson; her brother Oren Smedshammer; and her sisters-in-law, Nadine Smedshammer and Jeanette Smedshammer.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the First Lutheran Church (506 5th St, Litchville, ND 58461). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
