He was predeceased by: his parents, Elvin Rein and Stella Rein; and his sister Shirley Courneyea. He is survived by: his sister Sonja Medhaug; his wife Vione; his children, Nikki Rein and Robert S. Rein; his grandchildren, Jeni Crowley (Richard), Theron Rein (Rachel), Megan Rein and Jake Rein (Makayla); his great grandchildren, Ashtyn Crowley, Margot and Roman Rein; his sisters, Sonja Medhung and Kathy Lee; and his sister-in-law Diane Schneider (Alison Rein).
