She was predeceased by : her parents, Budd Hystad and June Hystad (Rolene); and her brother Chuck Hystad. She is survived by : her sisters, Jill Hystad, Velva and Susan Nicholls (Guy); her nieces, Madison Murray (Jake), Maggi Nicholls (Joe Pieterick), Tammi Schatz (Matt) and Sara Merck (Mark); and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Gray, Ryan Murray, Samantha Olson, Mallory Howell, Addyson and Avery Merck.

Memorials are preferred to the Velva Ambulance, Velva Library, or the Velva Park Board.
