He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Jr. "Sonny" Nelson and Ellen "Pee Wee" Nelson (Ketterling). He is survived by: his wife Holly (Dahl); his children, Lindsey Haugen (Scott), Brady Nelson (Bailey) and Chelsea Nelson; his grandchildren, Berrik and Birkley Nelson; and his sister Tammy Nelson. He is also survived by his parents, his brother, and several eager dogs.
