It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Alice Ann McColley of Wahpeton, North Dakota, who passed away at the age of 83, on May 24, 2025. She was predeceased by: her parents, C. R. "Whitey" Swanson and Edith Swanson (Klosterman); her husband George McColley; her brother Ron Swanson; and her brother-in-law Jim Smith.
She is survived by: her daughter Debra Crase (Lee) of Columbus, Indiana; her sister-in-law Carmen Swanson of Fairmount, ND; and her sisters, Constance Smith of Carrollton, MO, Dorothy Hermes (Peter) of Ashby, MN and Carol Kessler (Bill) of Portland, OR. She is also survived by many nieces, grand nieces, nephews and grand nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Vertin-Munson Funeral Home (224 6th St N, Wahpeton, ND 58074). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
When health issues, including Parkinson's Disease, prevented her from living on her own, she resided at the MN Veteran's Home in Fergus Falls and Serenity Living in Sebeka, MN, where she received excellent care.
