He was predeceased by: his parents-in-law, Donald Hudson and Orlin Hudson-Egge; and his stepfather-in-law Ray Egge. He is survived by: his parents, Ed Erbes and Eileen Erbes (Klosterman) of Fargo, ND; his wife Cindy Hudson; his children, Sarah Kratcha (Corey) of Breckenridge, MN and Josh Erbes (Kelsey) of Argusville, ND; his grandchildren, Charlie Kratcha, Hudson Kratcha, Oscar Erbes, Eleanor Erbes and Leo Erbes; his siblings, Doug Erbes (Tana) of Breckenridge, MN, Paula Franz (Dave) of Zionsville, IN, Pam Hilber (Tim) of Sioux Falls, SD and Peggy Blaufuss (Mark) of Breckenridge, MN; and his brother-in-law Kevin Hudson (Kathy) of Wahpeton, ND. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
