He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Bernstein and Beverly Bernstein (Sveum); his sister Elaine Thayer; his siblings-in-law, Danny Thayer and Loretta Bernstein; and his granddaughter Bailey Jo Bernstein.
He is survived by: his son Jon David Bernstein (Christy); his grandson Trevor David Bernstein; his daughter Amy Marie Bernstein (Chris Olmstead); and his siblings, Robert Bernstein (Ronna), Shirley Johnson, Eileen Bernstein, Richard Bernstein and Leroy Bernstein. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
