He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil Straus and Ethel Straus (Rooney); his siblings, Monica Wolsky, Alice Fieber, Stanley Straus, Louis Straus and Louella Kelly; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Thilmony, Jim Thilmony (Maggie), Eugene Thilmony and Ed Stegmeier.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene Thilmony of Catherine's Catholic Church; his son Bill Straus (Laurie); his grandchildren, Lacey Hodny (Jake) and Lauren Lemer (Brock); his son Wayne Straus (Carol); his grandsons, Eric Straus (Erin Grahn), Joe Straus (Alisa) and Brian Blotsky (Sheila); his sons, Warren "Woody" Straus and Wally Straus (Brenda); his granddaughter Amanda; his great grandchildren, Ellie, Max Hodny, Hunter, Ben, Mira Lemer, Ava, Audra, Alec Straus, Sierra and Aspen Blotsky; and his siblings-in-law, Cheryl Stegmeier and Lloyd Thilmony (Margaret).
