It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lyla Gilbertson of Wahpeton, North Dakota, who passed away on July 9, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lyla Gilbertson to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, John Melting and Nora Melting (Tvedt); her husband Henry Gilbertson of Halstad, MN.; and her siblings, John Melting (Janice), David Melting (Jean), Carlton Melting (Ruth), Marlene Bennett (Richard) and Loretta Solberg (Archie).

She is survived by : her son Nathan Gilbertson; her daughter-in-law Shawn Gilbertson; her granddaughters, Shanae Stafki (Samuel) and Janna Gilbertson; her great grandchild Eoin Stafki; and her close friend Nancy Ziegelmann.

One of greatest accomplishments was her contributions to the creation of the Halstad Centennial book.
