With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wayne Colby (Wahpeton, North Dakota), who passed away on July 6, 2025 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Colby and Joy Colby (Nugent); his sister Lona; his father-in-law Robert Ehlert; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Ehlert and Carrie Jo.
He is survived by: his wife Carol Ehlert; his children, Travis (Lu), Rebecca (Kyle) and Jenny (Butch); his grandchildren, Will, Zach (Tatiana), Brady, Vin, Ethan and Cooper; his great grandchildren, Annalise and Kehlani; and his sisters, Teeko Colby (D'Ann) and Ellen Bollinger (Brad).
Visitation was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Calendar St. John's Catholic Church (115 2nd St N, Wahpeton, ND 58075). A prayer was held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
