It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William L. Retterath of Washburn, North Dakota, born in Hazen, North Dakota, who passed away on May 4, 2023, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Leonard Retterath and Dorothy Retterath (Lange); and his siblings, Duane Retterath and Donna Eisenmann. He is survived by : his wife Carol Folk; his children, Justin Retterath (Rachel), Sarah Huettl (Damian), Germaine Stroup (Nick Cavaliere), Luke Retterath (Emily), Kate Palczewski (Bo) and Charles Retterath (Elyssa); and his sisters, Rita Kent, Jane Pearson and Kathy Birst (Curtis). He is also survived by 15 Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a memorial to the ND Veterans Cemetery or to a charity of choice.
