He is survived by: his child Scottish; his brother Mick MacDonell (Marilyn); his children, Shane MacDonell, Kaylee Benz (Derek), Colton MacDonell (Makenzie) and Dusty Denegar (Jannika); his grandchildren, Griffin, Montgomery, Jubilee Benz, Calder MacDonell and Ambrey Denegar; his nephew Robert Dozark (Tia); and his nieces, Kathryn Griffin (Travis) and Monica Hodder (Mike). He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
Memorial Contribution. In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a GoFundMe for donations to go towards a memorial bench for Scotty in Watford City.
