He was predeceased by : his parents, John Sovig and Ella Sovig; his wife Arlis Sovig (Peterson); his daughter-in-law Nadine Sovig (Jepson); and his siblings, Elton Sovig, Clifford Sovig (Alice), Edwin Sovig, Joel Sovig, Oscar Sovig (Anne), Henry Sovig (Irene), Arnold Sovig, Ovedia Krivobok (Bill) and Edith Sanders (Lloyd).
He is survived by : his children, Mark Sovig of Arnegard, ND, Lisa Zahn of Vancouver, WA and Karla Zimney (Bruce) of Garrison, ND. He is also survived by five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
