We announce the death of Alice Cumber (West Fargo, North Dakota), born in Jamestown, North Dakota, who passed away on September 18, 2026, at the age of 97. Alice will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her husband Robert Cumber; her son Gary; and her daughter-in-law Vicki. She is survived by: her children, Wayne Cumber (Jane), Jeanette Homstad (Richard) and Carol Cumber (Craig Fairbanks); her grandchildren, Katie Chaussee (Matt), April Scott (Mike), James Cumber, Russell Cumber (Amanda), Kristina Heinle (Dustin), Carrie Cariveau (Adam), Keith Homstad (Carolyn), Benjamin Fairbanks (Alyssa) and Brady Fairbanks (Jennifer); and her great grandchildren, Evan, Vivian Chaussee, Mckenzie, Morgan Cariveau, Beckett, Cecilia Heinle, Aurora, Hudson Fairbanks, Blair and Trae Fairbanks.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the West Funeral Home & Life Tribute Center, West Fargo (321 Sheyenne St, West Fargo, ND 58078). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Calvary Cemetery (1880 82 Ave SE, Jamestown, ND 58401).
