She was predeceased by: her parents, Lorenz Buhr and Sylvia Buhr (Benzmiller); her husband Elroy "Roy" Folstad; and her siblings-in-law, Barbara Buhr, Charles "Chuck" Bernhardson, Stuart Johnson and Howard Nelson.
She is survived by: her daughter Michelle Mack (Rich) of Eden Prairie, MN; her granddaughter Addison Mack of College Park, MD; her siblings, Arnold Buhr of Buffalo, ND, Connie Sletteland (Ray) of Devils Lake, ND and Cloyce Voeller (Jim) of Lake Elmo, MN; and her sisters-in-law, Ione Johnson of Moose Lake, MN, Nancy Nelson of Shelly, MN and Helen Bernhardson of Moorhead, MN. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Sts. Anne & Joachim Catholic Church (5202 25th St S, Fargo, ND 58104). A vigil service was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
She was also the recipient of the NHSACA Kathy Holloway Women of Inspiration Award and was honored with the Kappa Delta Order of the Pearl award for exceptional contributions to her profession.
